Caregiver jobs

We’re hiring caregivers.

Caregiving work at a family-owned assisted living home in south Scottsdale. If you’re interested, give us a call.

The work

What the job is.

Hands-on caregiving in a licensed assisted living home on East Latham Street — personal care, medications, meals and company, for the same residents every shift.

Because it is the same residents each time, part of the job is noticing when someone is a little off — eating less, less steady than usual, quiet when they normally are not — and saying so.

Shifts cover the house around the clock, so there are days, nights and weekends to fill. What is open changes; we will tell you what we have when you call.

Day to day

What you’d be doing.

  • Personal care — bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and transfers
  • Medication assistance, following each resident’s orders and keeping the records straight
  • Serving meals cooked in our own kitchen, and helping at the table those who need it
  • Light housekeeping and personal laundry
  • Watching for changes — appetite, mood, balance, skin, pain — and reporting them
  • Spending time with residents: conversation, a hand of cards, a walk out to the patio

Requirements

What we’re looking for.

Experience in a care home, a group home or a hospital counts for a lot. So does having cared for someone in your own family — tell us either way.

Beyond that: patience, reliability, and the judgement to notice when something is off and report it. Personal care here happens at the pace of the person rather than the schedule.

There is paperwork the state requires before anyone can work in a licensed home — a fingerprint clearance card, current CPR and first aid, a negative TB test, and caregiver training. We will go through all of it with you. If you are partway there, call anyway.

If you’re interested

Give us a call.

Call and ask about caregiver openings. Tell us what experience you have and what hours you are looking for. If nobody picks up, leave your name and number and we will get back to you.
